As a research engineer, you are responsible for conducting microstructural analyses on irradiated materials in our ‘hot’ laboratory.
– you apply various techniques such as optical and scanning electron microscopy (OM and SEM), X-ray microscopy with wavelength and energy dispersive techniques (EPMA and EDX), X-ray diffraction (XRD), etc.
– you are responsible for the operation and management of the Focussed Ion Beam (FIB) instrument.
– you write technical reports and present them to internal and external clients and you contribute to scientific publications.

– you are prepared to work in the controlled area and using telemanipulators.
